In this fast-paced world, most of us are stuck in concrete jungles amongst the dust, grime and pollution, the constant change in weather and let us not forget the stress that comes with hair fall and all this results in poor hair health!  All of this only makes it a dream to have luscious strong hair. To, nourish and maintain your hair it is very vital to have a good hair care routine and every hair care routine starts with oiling your hair!

Hair oils are proven to tackle many issues starting from dryness to dandruff and hair fall and the list is never ending!

Our main goal was to take the holistic approach and curate a hair oil that would not just take care of your hair issues but also make your hair care routine simpler. Look at our ingredients used in our hair oil that truly sets us apart from the rest!

At Praanaah, we use a wide range of oils to make this amazing blend of magic potion! A mix of castor oil -  rich in anti fungal and anti bacterial properties, pumpkin seed oil – the natural DHT blocker, sesame oil – the hair growth stimulator, neem oil – our go to oil for dandruff or fungal infections, black seed oil (Kalonji) – the universal healer, horsetail oil – the anti-oxidant and anti-fungal rich oil and our very own freshly sourced coconut oil from Kerala and Pollachi.

To this oil mixture, we add over 25 medicinal and Ayurvedic herbs that helps in repairing and giving you the much-needed rejuvenation for your hair. When we say this is our magic potion, we mean it!

Hibiscus (Hibiscus Sabdariffa )

Rich in antioxidants, this bright Indian scarlet contains flavonoids, phenols, lipid and citric acid. It promotes hair growth while making hair smoother and keeps scalp healthy. Hibiscus contains amino acids that helps strengthen hair follicles and stimulates the production of pigments that prevents premature greying.

Curry Leaf

This Asian queen of aroma is grown as a tropical tree in the family Rutaceae. The plant is also called sweet neem that’s rich in minerals such as Iron, Zinc and Calcium and helps in hair loss and gives nourishment. It contain Vitamin C, B, proteins, and antioxidants, which contribute to cellular regeneration and promote healthy scalp, hair growth and boost the overall scalp health. It soothes the scalp infections or inflammation.

Fenugreek

Popularly known as methi, this plant is from India, is known as one of the natural DHT Blockers. It is packed with amino acids and proteins that promotes the hair growth. It also contains Lecithin ,a natural emollient present in fenugreek nourishes the scalp and roots. It helps against dandruff and premature greying.

Ridge gourd

Ridge gourd is believed to possess enzymes that restore the melanin in the hair's root. It helps the scalp stimulate the hair follicles, relieve itchiness and dry skin, and potentially promote healthy hair growth. It is the go to ingredient when it comes to prevent and reverse premature greying.

Saw Palmetto

It is a type of palm that is used to make medicines. It is used to balance hormone levels and combat hair loss. According to study, saw palmetto help block the dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that is linked to hair loss and promotes hair growth. It is also called as the natural DHT Blocker and helps in reversing alopecia baldness.

Chilli

Did you know that this king of spices has amazing benefits for your hair!? Chilli has Vitamin C and Capsaicin that stimulates the scalp and increases blood circulation, thereby promotes hair growth.

Keezhanelli

This herb is native to Asia is commonly grown in tropical and subtropical climates around the world. Our keezhanelli is specially sourced from Tamil Nadu. The plant extract has amazing hair growth promoting properties and is especially helpful for people those who are suffering from male pattern baldness. It is also known to be another natural DHT Blocker helps in hair loss and baldness.

Moringa

This superfood, locally known as drumstick, boosts hair growth. It contains vitamin A, B and omega-3 fatty acids which closes the pores in the cortex of the hair shaft, thereby helping the nutrition in hair to be retained and promotes hair growth. Moringa oleifera Lam (Moringaceae) is found across tropical and sub-tropical areas of the country. This plant is rich in vitamin C, helps in reducing premature greying. Burdock Root

It is known to be the famous blood purifier, thanks to the anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties it possess! It is rich in anti-oxidants such as quercetin and luteolin and phenolic acids it helps in hair growth and prevents hair damage due to environmental conditions.

Gooseberry / Amla

It is no surprise that this famous ingredient is used in every ayurvedic hair oil. This vitamin rich plant strengthens the hair follicles and promotes hair growth, giving you the glossy hair of your dreams. The amlas we use at Praanaah are freshly sourced from Wayanad, Kerala. This also helps fight dandruff and scalp related infections.

Brahmi

This is a very ancient ayurvedic herb which is used to treat many ailments. As for the hair, it is  rich in saponins and flavonoids which gives soothing feel to scalp and protect the hair from environmental damage. It also helps in temporary baldness and helps in hair growth.

Bibitaki / Baheda

It is well known in Ayurveda as one of the triphala’s trio. Triphala is a mixture of three dried fruits. This excellent herb Triphala simply translates to “3 fruits”! It is rich in nutrients like Saponins and Flavonoids that helps in promoting healthy hair.

Haritaki

A well known herb in Ayurveda, it is one in the triphala’s trio. It contains Ferulic Acid and he essential amino acids that help in promoting healthy hair. It regulates the sebum production and nourishes scalp and hair. Known as astringent and anti-fungal healer, it helps in preventing scalp infections.

Kapur Kachri

Another ingredient that has been specially sourced from Wayanad, Kerala by Praanah, this has anti-aging benefits which makes hair feel very young with strong fortifying and soothing properties. It can bring intense volume to your hair.

Pepper Mint

It treats dandruff cells and cleanse the scalp deeply. It stimulates blood circulation in the scalp thereby helps in soothing the itchy scalp. It also has a natural fresh fragrance to it, making your hair smell nice.

Avarampoo

This is a very popular shrub in Tamil Nadu. Avarampoo beautifies your hair and improves scalp condition and treats the dandruff in your hair. It is well known for controlling hair fall and acts as an excellent hair conditioning herb.

Rosemary

This is an essential oil that helps in soothing the scalp while it stimulates the hair growth. Rosemary oil is equivalent to 2.5 percent minoxidil, which helps in preventing baldness, increase blood flow that stimulates hair growth.

Stinging nettle

It helps in blocking DHT production, thus preventing hair loss. Stinging nettle also has antifungal and antibacterial properties, which makes it efficient in tackling conditions like dandruff.

Coat buttons

Popularly knows as Jatamansi and belonging to the daisy family, this is a small Ayurvedic shrub whose rhizomes may speed hair growth. It is extremely beneficial for the hair due to the high amount of anti oxidant present in it.

Tulsi / Holy Basil

It helps treat the itching and curbs the hair loss, which may be a result of hormonal changes or dandruff and strengthens the hair.

Apart from these mentioned ingredients, our oil blend contains Dhawai Phool, Bhringaraj, Licorice, Guduchi, Indrajao, Jujube Fruit, and the very famous Bhringaraj.
